We started our rental business in 2015 after witnessing firsthand how challenging it can be for new immigrants and visitors to secure affordable and suitable accommodations upon arriving in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A few years ago, a close friend of ours moved here with his family. Despite having a good job lined up, they struggled to find a place to live. They faced high requirements that were difficult for a new immigrant to meet, such as credit checks, proof of local references, and long lease commitments—all overwhelming hurdles for someone just starting out in a new country.
